We want to be the ones pouring into the kids and not paying a ton of money for other people to do that. Bryan quit a career he worked so hard for in the finance world where he was a VP Financial Consultant and now is roadschooling the kids. (Yay for his early childhood degree!!) and I am continuing to work remotely from the RV with my current job that I love.
We’ve talked a ton about this over the years and just in the last couple of months it’s come to a head and we feel peace doing it. We got tired of the rat race that is life. It felt like it didn’t matter how much money we made it wasn’t enough to give us more time with the kids. We wanted to have less stuff so we could be more present with the kids since on the weekends all we were doing was taking care of our stuff and not showing up as the parents we want to be.
After losing both of my parents in 2022, it’s just very evident that life is short and none of us know how much time we have left. So we need to make the most of the now. We know we only have 8-10 more years with the kids home and only 4 more until Liam starts high school which we plan to settle down again and have the kids go to high school in person somewhere.
As we go on our journey, we want to share what it's like, how the transition is going, what works best and for those wanting to do the same, what are we using so you can cut the time down on figuring that out, and just having what you need that works so you enjoy your time on the road!
